Recording Streaming Video and Audio: RealPlayer (RealOne Player)(rm, ra, ram, smil) [RTSP, PNM, HTTP protocols] - How to download/save/capture/record media streams from Real Player
Real Media Recorders allow to download RM, RA, RAM streams.
Some of them also allow to postprocess content of the following metafiles: RAM, SMIL. If your Windows Media Recorder doesn't support metafile postprocessing, you should save metafile to a hard drive as a file and derive a link from the metafile using Text Editor like Windows NotePad. This link would show a real location of Real Media Stream.
Some Stream Recorders allow to save only Streaming Real Media. Other Streaming Video Recording Software allows you to download not only Real Media Streams, but also Windows Media Streams.
After saving Real Media streams (Streaming Real Video and Real Audio) to your hard drive as files, they could be played by RealPlayer or RealOne Player.
RTSP, HTTP, and PNM protocols are used for Streaming Real Video and Real Audio.
