Recording free streaming movies and animation from AtomFilms (capturing RealVideo and WindowsMedia streams)
Please read our disclaimer before recording any media streams. Otherwise your activity could be considered illegal.
AtomFilms has RealVideo, WindowsMedia, QuickTime and Flash streams.
However we will explain how to record RealVideo and WindowsMedia streams only.
If you want to be able to record streaming movies and animations from AtomFilms in both formats you need a recorder which is capable of recording both formats: Real Video and Windows Media.
You may also use 2 separate programs: Real Video recorder and Windows Media recorder.
Replay Video Suite is a VCR type one-click recorder that can record WindowsMedia and RealVideo streams. We highly recommend it especially to newbies 'coz it can catch your stream automatically and the only thing you need to do is to press the "Record" button. Replay Video Suite is free to try.
If you prefer to use other video stream recorder our streaming video recording software chart will help you to select the right one.
Please also read our FAQ on getting stream URL before using your recorder.
Note that AtomFilms uses time stamps in the stream URLs. You can see it in the following example:

This HashKey variable is a continually changing time stamp (it is different for every user session).
You have to record the stream before the time stamp expires.
